The Clinic represents news outlet VTDigger in a Public Records Act suit filed in June 2024 against the Vermont Department of Public Safety. The suit seeks access to audio and video footage of the January 2024 arrest of the Addison County State’s Attorney for allegedly driving under the influence to the scene of an ongoing Vermont State Police investigation, during which she refused to undergo standard field sobriety tests. Shortly after the arrest, the prosecutor took a three-week paid medical leave and initially refused to cooperate with an investigation related thereto, which resulted in her temporarily losing her license to practice law in Vermont.
